29 Things That Happened Monday At The Arcade At The FADER FORT
Here’s what happened at the first day of The Arcade at The FADER FORT, a new tech event presented by Toyota Prius.
This year, we're hanging out in Austin at The FADER FORT for longer then ever before. On Monday, we opened the doors for the first of six days. Presented by Toyota Prius, The Arcade is two full days of tech, comedy, and more.
On day 1, there was lots to see on the grounds, like the Death By Audio Arcade, a virtual reality experience courtesy of Run The Jewels, live drawing with Shantell Martin, custom denim stitching, dance performers, and more. There was even a red-hued Budweiser barbershop, where you could get designs—like the FADER "F" logo—skillfully etched into your fade.
Eric Andre's headlining stand-up set was as crude and loud and hilarious as you'd imagine. But the big surprise came when his The Eric Andre Show co-host and one-time FADER cover star Hannibal Buress turned up at the tail-end to interview a member of the audience. What's gonna happen at The Arcade today? Check the lineup here for some clues.
The Arcade is made possible this year by Toyota Prius, Getty Images, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Red Bull, and Budweiser. For updates on all our Austin happenings, follow The FADER on Snapchat (fadersnaps), Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
