New York’s Show Me The Body is probably the grimiest band to use a banjo. Make no mistake: their sound is heavy without qualification, but watching frontman Julian Cashwan Pratt violently bellowing his lyrics while plucking at what’s normally used for country music just adds to the discordant fun. So much fun that, with only two EPs, Yellow Kidney and S M T B, the band has become something of a cult favorite in NYC.
