Just Blaze livestreamed a run in with the police via Periscope yesterday. The producer was pulled over by officials while he was out driving his Lamborghini Huracan and was asked by police, “Is your car legit?” before requesting his license and registration.
“I don't believe that we should turn a blind eye to somebody doing something wrong just because they're a person of color,” Pitchfork reports Just Blaze said in the second Periscope. “But you know what's going on with our people right now. Why not address me as a little more of a human being, instead of me being a suspect off the bat?” The producer stated in a tweet to The FADER on the morning of July 8 that an apology was granted after somebody recognized the police officcer's voice on the stream.
