Nas and Erykah Badu have released "This Bitter Land," their contribution to the Mass Appeal Records released soundtrack for upcoming film The Land. The song marks the pair's first time collaborating and it's a haunting piece of music. Badu sings while Nas raps over just a sparse string arrangement. Cop shot us up/ He get a medal then retire, but that'll never define me, he raps.

Nas executive produced The Land and Badu has a starring role. The movie is about some young Cleveland skateboarders with dreams of going pro that get sidetracked by drugs. Both the movie and soundtrack will be released on July 29.
