Drake’s VIEWS Spends 12th Week At No. 1, Gucci Mane Debuts At No. 2
Gucci’s Everybody Looking is the highest ranking release for the rapper.
Drake's VIEWS has now been No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart for 12 nonconsecutive weeks. According to Billboard, the rapper's 4th studio album has sold 85,000 equivalent album units in the past week. Last week, VIEWS surpassed Taylor Swift's 1989, which reigned at No 1. for 11 weeks in late 2014 and early 2015. Now, Drake is on track to beat the Frozen soundtrack's streak of 13 weeks.
Gucci Mane first post-prison release Everybody Looking debuted at No. 2 with 68,000 units, making it the highest ranking release for the rapper. The closest Gucci ever got to the No. 2 slot was when his 2010 release The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted peaked at No. 4. Hopefully the chart rankings don't create too much of a rivalry between the two collaborators, as they might have a joint EP on the way.
