Father John Misty — a provocateur rock musician with a random Beyoncé writing credit and a friend in Lana Del Rey — has released some merch cheekily nodding to Kanye West's Cali DeWitt-designed The Life of Pablo pieces. And Kanye fans may very well be pissed.
Misty has uploaded a T-shirt, a short sleeve, and a sweatshirt to his site, all in a shade of electric blue, all featuring "The Life of Padre" scrawled across the front in a variation on DeWitt's signature gothic font. It's unclear at this point whether the pieces are a collaboration with DeWitt, or simply a playful spoof on TLOP's aesthetic, but either way — why? See some of Twitter's best reactions, below.
The FADER has reached out to Father John Misty and will update with comment.

I have 0 time for that Father John Misty merch. Can white people stop blatantly plagiarising POC 'ironically' soon, that'd be nice
