The Weeknd has been quiet since the staggering success of his 2015 album, Beauty Behind The Madness. Almost exactly one year later, the Toronto singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share a short snippet of a new track, providing only a cat emoji as the caption. The song features trademark The Weeknd vocal runs and a cacophonous mix of electronic sounds.

A representative for Republic Records confirmed earlier this week that The Weeknd was working with Daft Punk. The Weeknd was recently in the studio with Cashmere Cat, and shared a photo of the session on Instagram with the same cat emoji as a caption. Listen to a preview of the new song below.
