Stream Snippets From Young Thug’s Jeffery, Including A Song Called “Harambe”
Lyor Cohen previewed the whole album on Snapchat.
Lyor Cohen, the 300 Entertainment CEO who alleges that Young Thug has changed his rap alias to No, My Name Is Jeffery, shared some snippets from the rapper's upcoming album Jeffery on Snapchat. Watch them all below via HotNewHipHop.
Each song title is written on a whiteboard, beneath Young Thug's new name and a date: "6 hours before August 25 midnight." Jeffery's most recent release date was announced as August 26.
Many of the songs on Jeffery are named after famous artists: "Wyclef Jean" (who collaborated with Thug recently on "John," after Sir Elton John), "Floyd Mayweather," "Swizz Beatz," "Ri Ri," "Guwop" and yes, "Harambe." That's the name of the gorilla housed at the Cincinnati Zoo who was shot and killed after a child fell into his enclosure, and has since become a meme.
