Chris Brown Released By Police After Posting $250,000 Bail
Brown was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon yesterday, August 30.
Chris Brown has been released on bail following his arrest yesterday. Brown posted $250,000 bail and was released late on Tuesday night. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a stand off with police at his Los Angeles home. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 20 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, NBC Los Angeles reports.
Brown has yet to comment on the arrest but he posted a video of Ray J talking about the charges on his Instagram alongside the caption "Real friends!!!!! The world will see!!! TRUST ME". See that video above. Brown's attorney Mark Geragos tweeted that the singer was "out and well" and that "allegations against him are demonstrably false."
If convicted, Brown could face up to four years in prison.
Representatives for Chris Brown and the Los Angeles Police Department were not immediately available for comment.
