Twitter Adds Read Receipts To Direct Messages

Twitter announced Thursday three updates to Direct Messages on its platform. Read receipts, typing indicators (those three little dots), and web link previews will all be attached to messages. They will be available to all iOS and Android users in the next few days, according to a Mashable report. In the video above everyone in a group chat can see when messages are seen. When the update does come to your account the default will be to have these new features on. However, they can be turned off by going to Settings and turning off the "Send/Read receipts" feature.
