Atlanta rapper 21 Savage shocked the internet today, when he posted a Snapchat and claimed that he got his famous face tattoos removed. When asked over the phone for comment about the tattoos, a manager for 21 Savage sounded unfamiliar with the situation and then said "no comment." He appeared to still have the tattoos this Saturday at the taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards. On whether his tattoos had been removed, a manager for 21 Savage had "no comment."
According to Carmen Vanberheiden from Tataway, an East Coast tattoo removal chain, who spoke to The FADER over the phone on Tuesday night, it takes about a minimum of eight sessions to get a tattoo removed. She added that for removal time, the size of the tattoo "doesn't matter," and that she felt it was impossible 21's tattoos could have been removed since Saturday. "Oh Jesus, no," she said — even though the face has good blood circulation.
