MTV is bringing back TRL for a one-off special designed to encourage young people to register to vote. Total Registration Live will air tonight, September 27, to mark National Voter Registration Day. Ty Dolla $ign will perform three songs from his recently-released album Campaign while Vic Mensa and Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony will also appear.
Other big name guests confirmed for the show include Kendall Jenner and director Joss Whedon, plus Stranger Things actress Natalia Dyer and Mack Wilds.
The live special will air at 6 p.m. E.T. on MTV, MTV.com, the MTV app, and MTV's Facebook and YouTube pages. Billboard reports that subjects the episode will tackle include how the 2016 election relates to sexual assault, national security, gender inequality, student debt, immigration reform, racial inequality, and Islamophobia.
