On Saturday, the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C., which opened in September, was the target of a tagger who wrote "Black Lives Matter" and "No Justice, No Peace" near the entrance to the building, CNN reports.
According to Politico, officials are investigating "an offense of defacing public and private property." As of Monday, no arrests have been made. Pictures and videos of the graffiti made their way around social media on Saturday. The writing has since been covered up with plywood.
The 263-room hotel had its soft opening in September, while the grand opening is scheduled to take place later in October. See a picture of the graffiti below.
"The police are investigating the situation and at this time, we have no further comment," a representative for Trump Hotels told The FADER over email.
