Bob Dylan Removes The Only Mention Of Nobel Prize From His Website
The songwriter still won’t acknowledge his literature prize.
Bob Dylan's lack of acknowledgement of his Nobel Prize has continued, with a mention of the prize disappearing from his website overnight. As The Guardian reports, one sentence about Dylan receiving the Nobel Prize In Literature appeared on BobDylan.com before being removed. The passing reference to the prize came on a page promoting a new collection of song lyrics. The words “winner of the Nobel prize in literature”, were temporarily on the page for The Lyrics: 1961-2012 but are no longer on the website.
Earlier this week Sara Danius, the Nobel academy’s permanent secretary, told reporters that the committee have been unable to get a firm commitment from Dylan's camp as to whether would attend this year's ceremony and formally accept his honor.
