The title of Ye Ali's recent mixtape Traphouse Jodeci is a concise description of his sound: the Indiana singer specializes in confrontational ballads, much like Bryson Tiller or Tory Lanez. "What To Do" featuring K. Camp is especially indebted to this sound, with its low-passed melodies and grumbling bass, and the music video for the track is premiering today on The FADER. The dreamy clip places the two artists in a darkened room with a single video screen and a lot of girls.
"We made ‘What To Do’ around K Camp’s birthday," Ye Ali told The FADER over email. "The vibes were incredible in the studio. I want people to feel the mood. The music takes care of everything else—if you know what to do, then you know what to do."
