Since the presidential election on November 8, there's a been a large spike in searches for certain words, and the definitions for "fascism" and "misogyny" are topping the list, according to Merriam-Webster. On Sunday, the dictionary reported that those searches, along with look-ups of "bigot,” “xenophobe,” “racism,” and “xenophobia” had begun to trend.

As Gizmodo points out, many of these words also saw a large increase in searches on Google Trends on November 9, one day after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election.
