President Barack Obama On Michael Jordan: “He’s More Than Just An Internet Meme”
Obama joked about the Crying Jordan meme before presenting the basketball legend with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama honored 21 American actors, musicians, athletes with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a ceremony at the White House. Among the recipients of the prestigious award were actors Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, and more.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan were the two athletes that received the award, and Obama made special references to Space Jam and the Crying Jordan meme in honor of the Bulls icon. "He's more than just a logo, more than just an internet meme," Obama said, getting a laugh out of Jordan. Watch clips of the speech below.
