Hear An Unreleased Prince Track, “Moonbeam Levels”
The song is featured on the new 4Ever compilation album, out today via NPG and Warner Bros. Records.
On Tuesday, Warner Bros. Records and NPG released 4Ever, a 40-track compilation of Prince's greatest songs. Also included on the album is "Moonbeam Levels," previously unreleased track recorded in 1982 during the initial sessions for 1999. The song has been bootlegged over the years, and Elvis Costello performed a live cover during a 2013 tribute concert at Carnegie Hall.
ABC News recently played the track for Prince fans during a listening session New York’s Cutting Room Recording Studios. Watch the footage below; "Moonbeam Levels" begins around the 45-second mark.
