Luke Cage will return to the streets of Harlem after Netflix renewed the Marvel show for a second season. The show, which features Mike Colter as the bullet-proof hero, debuted earlier this year on the streaming service. Marvel announced the news on Sunday with the tweet above.
Netflix has built a stable of Marvel shows with Daredevil renewed for an upcoming third season and Jessica Jones, where viewers first met Luke Cage, due to come back for a second season. Another show, Iron Fist will debut in 2017 before the stars of all four shows unite in The Defenders. With such a crowded slate of shows it is currently unclear when the second season of Luke Cage will begin. The FADER has contacted Netflix for more information.
