Fiona Apple Reworks A Christmas Classic Into “Trump’s Nuts Roasting On An Open Fire”

Fiona Apple has reworked Nat King Cole's “The Christmas Song,” in order to make the classic relevant to the 2016 holiday season, Paper Magazine points out. Apple shared a video of herself singing the song, which chastises President-elect Donald Trump. The song begins with "Trump's nuts roasting on an open fire," and closes out with the emphatic, "Donald Trump, fuck you." In between, Apple offers some biting lines like, "Everybody knows some money and entitlement can help to make the season white/Mothers of color with their kids out of sight will find it hard to sleep at night.” Watch her sing the song below.
