Yesterday, a story broke via The New York Times and other outlets about YouTube star and filmmaker Adam Saleh, who claims he was escorted off a Delta Airlines flight because he was speaking Arabic. Saleh, who is Muslim American, says he was speaking on the phone with his mother in Arabic before being "kicked off the plane because a lot of people felt uncomfortable.”
Today, French Montana, who was born in Morocco and is a practicing Muslim himself, took to Instagram to weigh in on the incident, citing discrimination on the part of Delta Airlines and speaking from personal experience to express his solidarity:
"I have a mother that doesn't speak English and discrimination like this makes me really sad," said Montana, "The fact that this can happen to her makes me sick." French went on to state that he would effectively be boycotting the airline from here on out based on the incident: "I'm NOT using delta anymore," he wrote.
