This Go-Go Band’s Version Of Solange’s “Cranes In The Sky” Will Refresh Your Brain

Solange's "Cranes In The Sky," the tremendous track from October's A Seat At The Table, has been given a few takes from other artists since its release. There was Kaytranada's excellent DJ edit of the song, and then there was Common's optimistic remix, too. The D.C. go-go group Backyard Band has added their crucial touch to the song with a version that honors the original's lofty intent, while making every note seem just a little lighter and a little smoother.
