Netflix has premiered the first trailer for Dear White People. The series will arrive on the streaming platform on April 28 and is based on the 2014 movie of the same name. Netflix describes the series as "satirizing "post-racial" America as students of color navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college."
Dear White People will feature a mix of actors reprising their roles from the original film plus new characters. In the trailer we see Logan Browning as Samantha White, a film major and host of the campus radio show, Dear White People.
"Dear white people, here’s a list of acceptable Halloween costumes,” she says during one broadcast. “Pirate, slutty nurse, any of our first 43 presidents. Top of the list of unacceptable costumes: Me." Check out the teaser trailer above.
