The talented Octavia Spencer hosted Saturday's SNL, and she started off strong with a monologue poking fun at this year's irritating award-season flub "Hidden Fences." If you don't know the reference, multiple news outlets mistakingly referred to Hidden Figures as "Hidden Fences," an imaginary movie that is actually a mash-up of two Black films, Hidden Figures and Fences.

She also talked about how Black actors have historically played nurses in films, recalling that she herself has played a nurse 16 times. "I've played a nurse so many times, when I played a maid they gave me an Oscar," Spencer said. Watch her monologue above.
