Watch Joey Bada$$ Get Political In “Land Of The Free” Video
The powerful video showcases the latest single from the rapper’s upcoming LP, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$.
Ahead of the release of his sophomore album, All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$, Joey Bada$$ has released a music video for the album's second single, "Land of the Free."
The powerful video, directed by Nathan R. Smith and the rapper himself, moves between scenes of Joey Bada$$ telling young black children that "Donald Trump is not equipped to take this country over" and scenes of white men assembling in a firing squad to shoot a line of unarmed black people. The video winds down with Klansmen lighting a cross on fire, the bodies of those shot illuminated by the flames, but ends on a more uplifting note with the rapper and the children smiling and playing in a field.
All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$ comes out April 7. Check out the video for the first single, "Devastated."
