Nearly five year after their release, Chief Keef's debut single "I Don't Like," and his star-making smash "Love Sosa" have both been certified platinum by the RIAA.
The Young Chop-produced singles, which both appeared on Keef's major label debut Finally Rich (though "I Don't Like" was first featured on Back From The Dead), were both released in 2012. "I Don't Like" peaked at No. 73 on the Hot 100, and was remixed by Kanye West for the Cruel Summer project, while "Love Sosa" reached as high as No. 56. It's important to note that the singles were released before streaming metrics counted towards chart position and RIAA certifications. The songs marked the beginning of Keef's rapid ascension and significantly altered the landscape of Chicago rap.
At the top of the year, Keef released a new mixtape entitled Two Zero One Seven and has since shared multiple looses, including the standout "Can You Be My Friend?" He also appears alongside Rae Sremmurd on "Come Down" from Mike WiLL Made-It's upcoming Ransom 2 album. Watch the video for "Love Sosa" below.
