Prince’s Siblings Declared Heirs Of His Estate
A Minnesota Judge has declared that his sister and five half siblings the heirs of the $200 million estate.
Prince's estate, which is valued at around $200 million dollars, was declared by a Minnesotan judge to belong to Prince's sister and five half siblings on Friday. Prince, who passed away in April 2016, died without a will, which led to questions about who would control Paisley Park, and the rest of Prince's estate, including his vault of unreleased music. It also meant that 45 different people claiming to be Prince's relative, according to a report by The Rolling Stone.
Unsurprisingly, most of those people proved to have no familial connection and were denied from inheriting any of Prince's estate, though many of them have filed for appeal after initial denial. None of Prince's estate will be distributed until the appeals are fully processed.
