On Thursday, Jay Z became the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, joining Duke Ellington, John Lennon, and others in the distinguished group. "By the way, this is a win for US." Jay Z wrote in a rare tweet after the announcement. "I remember when rap was said to be a fad . We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history."
