Irish R&B Group Hare Squead Know Love Is A Full Time Job
Hear the Goldlink collaborators’ new song “Flowers,” ahead of their EP dropping later this month.
You may well have heard Hare Squead's smooth vocals on Goldlink's latest album, At What Cost. The D.C. rapper used "Herside Story" from the rising Irish trio as the hook on his song of the same name.
The three Dublin-based members of Hare Squead — Lilo Blues, Tony Konstone, and Jessy Rose — are making moves of their own too and will release their new EP, Season 2, later this month. Today, new song "Flowers," and its accompanying video, is premiering on The FADER. It's the second song to come off the EP and one that Konstone says is about working hard to make a relationship work.
"The song is about taking control of your love life," he explained via email. "People say that if something is meant to be, it's meant to be, but you still have to put the work in, you still have to make it happen. If you love somebody you have to show it, you have to put in the effort. If you love somebody you got to work for it."
Season 2 is out July 28. Hare Squead will be performing live at Birthday’s in Dalston, London on July 26. Check out the "Flowers" video above.
