Tobe Hooper, who is famous for his roles creating The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and who contributed tremendously to the film industry, passed away at the age of 74. After The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the horror film industry was altered, and Leatherface became a haunting and endlessly influential character in film. He was also the director of the film Poltergeist.
Sorry to hear Tobe Hooper passed. He did a terrific job directing the 'SALEM'S LOT miniseries, back in the day. He will be missed.

Tobe Hooper directed THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, a seminal work in horror cinema. He was a kind, decent man and my friend. A sad day.
