A rally in support of Meek Mill, who was sentenced to two to four years in prison for probation violations last week, is set to take place in Philadelphia on Monday, November 13. The rally will be held at 5 p.m. in front of Philadelphia's Criminal Justice Center.
"Our criminal justice system has failed Meek Mill and millions of others like him. We stand for justice," a flyer for the rally reads. According to Fox 29, Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius "Dr. J." Erving are expected to attend the rally.
On Thursday, Meek Mill's lawyer Joe Tacopina told The FADER that the rapper's legal team will move to recuse Judge Genece Brinkley from Meek Mill's upcoming appeals case. Following Meek Mill's sentence, Tacopina accused Brinkley of requesting that Meek Mill remake a Boyz II Men song with a personal shoutout and allegedly suggested that the rapper leave Roc Nation to sign with her friend's management company.
