Life is hard and people deserve this uplifting video of Erykah Badu telling DJ Akademiks he looks like Jerry from Tom and Jerry

Erykah Badu was the guest on Complex's Everyday Struggle on Thursday and she immediately changed the energy of the show, burning incense and drinking water with crystals in it.

But, more importantly, Badu brought her sense of humor. During the hour-long segment the R&B icon repeatedly interrupted questions and discussions to tell DJ Akademiks that he reminded her of someone. As the show went on, she provided more context: "The name Thomas keeps coming to me," and "It makes me want to eat cereal." Finally, she came out with it — DJ Akademiks looks like Jerry, the mouse, from Tom and Jerry. Thank you, Ms. Badu.
