Khalid spoke out after claiming he was groped by a fan

Khalid has alleged on Twitter that a fan groped him when he approached her to talk. The R&B singer did not specify where the alleged incident took place, though his tweets on the subject were sent shortly after Sunday night's American Music Awards in Los Angeles, which he performed live at.

"Lol I go to talk to a fan and she grabs my ass, how fuckin old are we???" he tweeted, later adding: "I love interacting and talking to fans but I also love respecting others so don’t disrespect me when I’m being nice."

Nineteen-year-old Khalid said in subsequent tweets that he ignored the incident at the time so as to avoid confrontation with the woman. However, he took to Twitter to highlight what happened and show that "it can happen to anybody!"
