“Now we can talk some shit” is the boastful track-opening declaration, and the underlying sentiment, behind ZMoney’s resurgent banger “Two 16’s.” Featuring fellow burgeoning Chicago act Valee, the track is a highlight off Z’s recent seven-song collaborative EP ZTM with buzzing St. Louis-producer ChaseTheMoney, who previously teamed up with Valee’ for the duo’s joint VTM tape back in May.
Set over a minimal-yet-menacing instrumental from ChaseTheMoney and Rio Mac, the no-hook banger sees the two eccentric artists trade cheeky bars like “Just ate a box of Pop-Tarts, drunk as fuck off the Wockhardt” Z unabashedly raps, while Valee stutter-steps through his expansive luxury wardrobe: a Yves Saint Laurent backpack, Louboutin footwear, a Louis V wallet, and more.
