On Sunday night, Oprah Winfrey was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2018 Golden Globes, becoming the first black woman to receive the award. After being presented by Reese Witherspoon, Oprah took the stage and delivered an impassioned speech.

"For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men but their time is up," she said. "I want all the girls watching to know: A new day is on the horizon. When that new day finally dawns, it will be because of the magnificent women."
