Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of the Irish pop group The Cranberries, has died, according to the BBC. She was 46.
According to a statement from a publicist, O'Riordan was recording in London when she passed. "No further details are available at this time," the statement reads, adding: "Family members are devastated to hear the news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
After O'Riordan joined The Cranberries in 1990, the band released its first album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? in 1993. The group went on to sell over 40 million albums worldwide over the course of its career. In 2016, O'Riordan formed the band D.A.R.K. with Andy Rourke of The Smiths and Olé Korestsky, releasing the debut project Science Agrees that year.
