Gucci Mane says The Autobiography of Gucci Mane “is coming to a theatre near you”
He wants to direct a biopic based on his bestselling memoir.
Last September, Gucci Mane released his much-anticipated memoirs, entitled The Autobiography of Gucci Mane. Today, the rapper revealed on Twitter his intentions of turning the book into a film, directed by himself. "#TheAutoBiographyOfGuccimane is coming to a theatre 🎭near you," he tweeted, adding: "#DirectorGuccimane #1017Films." See the tweet below.
Before he dropped the book, which debuted at No. 4 on The New York Times bestseller list, Gucci Mane revealed that he had considered writing a screenplay at the suggestion of Harmony Kornine, who directed Gucci in Spring Breakers.
Gucci Mane announced in December the title of his new solo album will be The Evil Genius. The rapper released his most recent record El Gato: The Human Glacier that same month.
