Drake just broke his own streaming record days after setting it
His new song “God’s Plan” has already surpassed its record-setting run for most single day U.S. Spotify streams.
On January 22, Drake's new song "God's Plan" set a new standard for most same-day Spotify streams in the United States (4,326,679, to be exact). Three days later, the song has broken its own record, with 4,739,798 streams logged on January 25, according to Chart Data.
Before "God's Plan," Taylor Swift had the highest single-day Spotify plays in the United States for her comeback single "Look What You Made Me Do."
"God's Plan" also set a record on Apple Music. Zane Lowe revealed on January 24 that the song was streamed over 14 million times in one day, the most single-day streams worldwide on the platform ever.
