Will Ferrell brings George W. Bush back to SNL
“Donny Q Trump came in and suddenly, I’m looking sweet by comparison.”
Will Ferrell made his return to Saturday Night Live this weekend and revived some of his most beloved characters. For the SNL cold opening, he brought back George W. Bush, and used the opportunity to lob some insults at our current president, and remind everyone that another four (or eight) years with George W. Bush would also be bad.
"I just want to remind everyone, that I was really bad," emphasized Ferrell as Bush, referencing the nostalgia people have expressed for George W. since Trump has taken office. "Like... historically not good."
"Please do not look back at my presidency and think 'this is how we do it,'" emphasized Ferrell. There was barely room for jokes during some points of the opening. "Don't forget, we are still in two different wars that I started."
