After a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14 killed 17 students, the survivors at the Parkland, Florida high school began a highly focused movement to reform America's gun laws. On Sunday, several students leading the conversation announced an upcoming demonstration, the March For Our Lives, in which students and supporters "will take to the streets of Washington D.C. to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today."
In response, several supporters with amplified voices, like Lady Gaga, Zendaya, and Justin Bieber, are joining the quickly spreading movement, using their platforms to draw attention to the students' bravery and integrity.
The March For Our Lives will take place March 24 in Washington D.C. For more information, or to organize one in your own community, go here.
