According to Louisa, her message to songwriter Camille Purcell when they first discussed her new single was "I want to be a Christina, not a Britney." Accordingly, "Yes" is a "Dirrty"-style hit of pure pop that is uplifting and empowering with a messy edge.
It's a big song for the former X Factor U.K. winner and one in which she hollers "If you're a freak like me one time, lemme hear you say yes." The glossy video is a wild ride packed with fluorescent alcohol, table dancing, incriminating Insta Stories, and an appearance from 2 Chainz. Premiering today on The FADER, you can see the video in full above.
Speaking via email, Louisa said of the visual: "As soon as I recorded 'Yes' I knew it had to be a single. You can't help but move when you hear this track. This is the funniest video I’ve ever made, it is literally me on a night out! It's the first video I’ve really felt comfortable in. I'm really being myself."
Louisa's "Yes" is out now. Her debut album is expected to be released later this year.
