Pitchfork’s Marc Hogan has interviewed two women who say they were assaulted by Adam Grandmaison, known online as Adam22, host of the podcast and video series No Jumper. Grandmaison recently signed a deal with Atlantic Records, prompting the community around his podcast to revisit accusations of his history of assault, particularly concerning minors. Last week, Grandmaison issued a blanket denial of any assaults. Now, two women, who chose to remain anonymous for fear of safety, have shared details of their alleged experiences.

One woman told Pitchfork she was sexually assaulted by Grandmaison in 2005, after they met on a message board. Another woman says she was 16 when she first met Grandmaison on the same board but didn't meet him in person until he flew to visit her in Vancouver three years later. There, he allegedly assaulted her.

Both women say Grandmaison wrote flippant posts online about both of the incidents, which are now deleted but have been viewed by Pitchfork and FADER. In one, he wrote, “For most men, being falsely accused of rape is a horrible experience that can ruin their reputation, cost them thousands in legal fees and may land them in jail, but for me I would have to say that it was overall a very positive experience. Viva la fake rape.”

Reached today by FADER, Grandmaison said, "I told Pitchfork that all I wanted to say was in the Akademiks interview I did the other day." Atlantic Records did not immediately return a request for comment; a spokesperson told Pitchfork, "We take any allegations of this nature very seriously and we are looking into them.”
