An active shooter was reported at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno, California beginning around 1pm PST, The Los Angeles Times reports. According to the Daily Beast, the shooter was a woman who shot her boyfriend. She is now dead.
Tweets from employees across the company's campus suggest that employees were on lockdown. Photos from CNN and other sources show people leaving the building with their hands up.
"I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs. Peaked [sic] around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front," wrote Todd Sherman, a YouTube employee, on Twitter, later adding that he'd left the scene in an Uber.
The AP reports that at least four people have been wounded. The assailant is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot. The San Bruno Police Chief will hold a press conference shortly.
