Hear Jenny Hval’s groovy new track “Spells”

Norwegian pop experimentalist Jenny Hval has shared a new single titled "Spells." The six-minute track leans toward the more accessible side of her catalog, a dazed out romp that refuses to skimp on the saxophone. Hval has also announced a new EP titled The Long Sleep. It'll be her first solo release since her 2016 record Blood Bitch.

Hval has also penned a debut novel titled Paradise Rot, which is out this October. Until then, groove out to "Spells" below. The Long Sleep is out on May 25 via Sacred Bones.
