J. Cole is throwing a surprise fan-only event in New York City

J. Cole is up to something in New York City. On Monday April 16, the rapper asked his Twitter followers to come to the Gramercy Theatre at 6 p.m. that evening.

He didn't reveal why or what's happening, but there were a lot of rules attached to the flyer Cole shared: No phones, cameras, bags, press list, or guest list, all of which point to something new being revealed. The invitation also comes as Cole changed his social media profile images to the same shade of purple. His previous album 4 Your Eyez Only was released in 2016.
