Rihanna talks new music: “she coming sis!”
#R9 is on the horizon.
Technically speaking it's only been three years since Rihanna dropped ANTI, but, god, it feels so much longer. It's not like Rih's gone anywhere between her movie roles, ambassadorship, and countless product lines. But it's hard not to pine for the days when we could expect new Fenty Music every November.
Technically speaking it's only been three years since Rihanna dropped ANTI, but, god, it feels so much longer. It's not like Rih's gone anywhere, between her movie roles, ambassadorship, and countless product lines. But it's hard not to pine for the days when we could expect new Fenty Music every November. However, #R9 might be closer than we think.
Rihanna broke her silence regarding the new music in response to some frustrated Navy members on Instagram earlier today. "We want fenty MUSIC" commented one user, to which Rih said "she coming sis!" Another asked "did u forget about your music career?" Rihanna replied "HOW! Y'all would never let me Lolol." Point taken.
The news comes just days after Metro reported on a rumored wealth of material in the works from Rihanna. A source told the newspaper that Rih has not one, but two new albums on deck: "one full of chart-friendly songs, and another made up of moody and experimental tracks." Last year, Rihanna registered two new tracks on ASCAP; "Only One Who Knows" and "Phatty," the latter of which was reportedly written with reggae legend Buju Banton.
