The yodeling Walmart kid has a major label deal now
Listen to Mason Ramsey’s “Famous.”
The internet can make you and the internet can break you. Take, for example, 11-year-old Mason Ramsey, better known as the Walmart yodel kid. He blew up earlier this year after footage of him performing Hank Williams's "Lovesick Blues" went viral. Cut to young Mason performing at Coachella and now signing a major label deal with Atlantic Records and Big Loud.
This very 2018 fairytale story leads us to "Famous," Ramsey's official debut single. “If I'm gonna be famous for somethin', I wanna be famous for lovin' you" he sings over an acoustic guitar, possibly naive to the internet culture which has him locked as the yodeling kid forever more.
Atlantic Records has form for signing viral stars to its roster, having also secured the services of Cash Me Outside Girl Bhad Bhabie earlier this year. God bless the music industry and check out Mason Ramsey's "Famous" below.
