Arrested Development fans, get ready. Creator Mitch Hurwitz just made a major announcement regarding the future of the Bluth family— just in time for Cinco de Cuatro. As you probably know, the cult classic ended prematurely after three seasons in it's original run from 2003-2006. It was revived for a fourth season in 2013 on Netflix, but those episodes each focused on individual characters from the show, diverting from its original format.
Now, five years later, a fifth season has been filmed for Netflix and is, according to Hurwitz, due out very soon. But beyond that, there's an entire new version of the fourth season coming- and it'll be out this Friday, no less. Somehow, he recut those fifteen episodes into twenty-two that feature all of the characters in each one. The "remixed" season will lead into the entirely new season. Read Hurwitz's statement below, and get ready for some major Bluth binging.
