Meek Mill was a guest on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, where he talked about his recent release from prison after serving nearly six months for probation violation, and how he's spending his time now as an advocate for criminal justice reform, and watching the #FreeMeek movement grow during his imprisonment, and touched briefly on his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj's comments to Zane Lowe about his trial. In March, she told Beats 1 that Mill's notorious judge "did everything asked of her."
"I wasn't feeling that," Mill said of the comment. "She shouldn't had said nothing. And we leave it at that. I don't feel no way. She know I wasn't feeling that."
He's also, he told the radio hosts, working on new music.
"I'm representing a cause, I got a purpose for something but still, at the same time, I gotta be Meek Mill," Mill told the show. "I tell people, my music, I might start talking hurt. I might talk anger. Like, when 2Pac was like, 'America eat its babies.' Y'all gonna make me go crazy . . . It's them thoughts still deep inside, because you've got to be angry if you been sent to prison four or five times."
