Paul Anka says his collaboration with Drake will be released in June
“That’s all I can tell you.”
Paul Anka announced on Thursday that he has a collaboration with Drake in the works, Billboard reports. While receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Michael Bublé at the Broadcast Industry Awards, Anka confirmed news previously suggested in an Instagram of the two artists.
“I’m working with a brilliant young artist who is as hot as you can get right now, a fellow young Canadian and his name is Drake," Anka told the crowd during his acceptance speech. "We recorded something that will be released, out in June. That’s all I can tell you,"
“As well as I know Paul,” Bublé added, "you will never get used to Paul Anka calling you and saying [imitates showbiz voice], ‘Oh my god, that Drake got some phat beats. Honestly. This dude’s flow is terribly sick.’ -- and I’m not joking. That is real. Paul is the Benjamin Button of crooners and he’s just getting younger. His curiosity and his vibe are infectious.”
The collaboration has no title yet, but June is very close, and also when Drake said his album Scorpion will be released.
